3. Jun 24,  · It was the first Angel Dust album I bought, and is still my favorite (I say this having not yet heard their two 80's albums). I remember reluctantly picking up Bleed in , afraid that with its sinister looking logo and cover it might be a death metal album (at the time I /5(75).

5. The keyboards on this album have absolutely taken the depth of Angel Dust's music to a higher level. The piano intro of the title track is pure genius and one of the most unorthodox power metal songs of any band. This was the song that hooked me to Angel Dust and prompted me to /5(25).

8. Angel Dust, from what I understand, used to be a thrash metal band and sometimes you can still hear that side of them. This is a good thing for it makes Bleed (and Angel Dust) all the more interesting and unique. This album is for fans of Iced Earth, Savatage, Dream Theater & Superior/5(25).

There are basically two camps of fans who will find Into the Dark Past worthwhile: die-hard Angel Dust fans that have been waiting forever to finally hear the band in their early years, and serious fans and collectors of the ‘80s German speed metal bands. If you’re in either camp (or better yet, both), this is an album well worth picking up.
